Damn! HTML5 video and markup validation don’t play nice
I can’t complain since I use 2 different standard but still. I know my website uses valid markup just 2 of them.
First if you go to the default markup validation page and use detect automatically you will see a bunch of errors. All those error are related to the HTML5 video and audio tag.
Now, lets use the experimental HTML5 markup validator and see what I did wrong. Apparently nothing! All those pass the validation in with XHTML 1.0 strict but fail in HTML5 validation.
So, for sake of behind fair, my side is partly valid for XHTML 1.0 strict and partly valid for HTML5.
12.17.09Touei 0.1 is out!
After, what, a year of working on and off on this we finally did it! Touei 0.1 is out!
Touei is a projection system with scheduling. You put a bunch of videos in folders, start it and done! Each video will play according to the specified time in the filename. It’s great for an anime convention and it’s the reason why it was developed.
You can download the file on launchpad.
There is still some feature we want to add but for now I am happy something is out.

12.14.09Tron Legacy, the movie
There was a world premier at the VGA last night regarding Tron Evolution (The game) that will come out with Tron: Legacy the movie.
Some people think the teaser of the movie was the first one.. sadly it isn’t

Well… I was checking kotaku while watching the VGA and there is a new Mass Effect trailer and tease us, again, for a new full length trailer on XBox Live on December 22th.
More story and awesome video. I still haven’t added my pre-order for it, after christmas, when I get money.

This picture is barely stage since the … guy stayed on stage for less than 3 seconds…. it’s also a scary sight….
Again, a completely random picture was classified as the best one.

Back to wordpress
after much debate I decided to go back to my original blog software: Wordpress.
why? There isn’t any reason, maybe because Wordpress just works, or because it’s one of the best out there? But what tip the balance is this blog entry by Derek Sivers in 2007. It’s old but still relevant.
So here I am, using wordpress again. I’ve added an Identi.ca plugin so I will post a dent for each blog post (I’ll retired my feed2omb).
